Executive Director, Latin Content & Programming

A Fulbright scholar from Cali, Colombia, Leila Cobo is the Executive Director for Latin Content and Programming for Billboard as well as a classical pianist and successful novelist and biographer. She oversees Billboard’s suite of Latin content in all its platforms and programs the annual Billboard Latin Music Conference. In November, she was selected as one of five honorees by the Latin Grammys’ inaugural Leading Latin Ladies ceremony. A classical pianist and novelist, Leila has a degree in piano performance from Manhattan School of Music and an MA from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California. She has published two award-winning novels with Grand Central Publishing/Hatchette (“Tell Me Something True,” for which she won the National Latino Book Award, and “The Second Time We Met”),  a top-selling biography on Jenni Rivera and “Apunta a las estrellas,” a guide for aspiring Latin artists. Most recently she worked with Puerto Rican singer Ednita Nazario on her memoir, “Una Vida.”
