Bill Werde is Director of the Bandier Music Business Program at the Newhouse school of Syracuse University. For five years ending in 2014, he oversaw all content efforts at Billboard, evolving the historic B2B magazine into a global, digital, consumer brand. Werde has been a leading storyteller and media executive for much of his career. He started writing about the intersection of culture, business and technology more than 15 years ago, and has been frequently published by The New York Times, Wired, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone and many others.
